Well, I was messing around today and was listening to some Lettuce when this song came on. I had a few minutes so I tabbed it out. Hopefully, at least one human being will find this useful. The main theme is all there (some timing may be a bit off) and the improv sections are in F minor. The two parts to the theme are pretty close but are slightly different. That difference makes the whole groove. Please let me know of errors or additions that should be made. It really is amazing what some people can do with three notes, cool timing and pentatonic. This comes straight out of E minor pentatonic.

Just wanted to let you know that I found this very useful!
Fantastic song by one of the funkiest modern bands. Well done!
Thanks man! Almost done with Steppin’ and Blast Off so keep an eye out!
I did blast off with an old band. Pretty simple, but my favorite song from the album.
Mine too. I worked up a guitar rendition of that but haven’t posted it yet. I am also finishing up some Soulive and Greyboy Allstars stuff.
I’m interested to see what you came up with, as we had horns (which made the guitar work rather boring)
What key was blast off in, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m trying to play the tune with a camp band, and I think my transcription is just a hair off.
I believe it is in F minor if my memory serves me correctly.
Would you be willing to post some tablature for Lettuce’s “The Dump”. The guitar groove in the first pre-chorus is so smooth and I would love to learn how to play that.
I meant to ask that in question form by the way, with a ?
